Overview

imageFORMULA CR-150
Quickly scan up to 150 cheques per minute with this compact MICR and image scanner with built-in imprinter and card scanning slot.

Cheque scanning in front of the customer
Cheque and vouchers scanner that’s perfect for retail and banking. Its small footprint makes it great for confined spaces, and it can process 150 cheques per minute – 12,000 per day – and also perform colour scans of ID and bank cards.

Fast and compact scanner
High-speed performance from a device whose footprint is just a little more than A5, enabling up to 150 cheques per minute to be scanned in-branch at the counter.

Verified scanning
The cheque code data is scanned by magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) and also by zonal OCR of scanned image – a unique algorithm is applied to ensure accuracy.

Card scanning capability
There is a dedicated slot for plastic cards – ID or banking – to be scanned in colour, so that card-holders’ identities can be immediately confirmed and recorded.

Useful imprinting
Up to five lines of 60 characters, and bitmap imaging, can be printed on the back of cheques while they’re being scanned, with no loss of speed, for easy endorsement.

Magnetic card swipe option
There is an optional magnetic card swipe that can be installed on the CR-150 scanner, to help save yet more desk space.

Thermal Receipt Printer RP10
The optional RP10 Receipt Printer is the perfect companion to the CR-150 series for processing cheques and providing receipts from teller counter spaces. The RP10 is designed to be placed under the Cheque Scanner saving desk space, and supports both standard Windows driver and OPOS specifications.

USB port:Universal Serial Bus (USB) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and communications protocols used in a bus for connection, communication, and power supply between computers and electronic devices. USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals (including keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters) to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.

Optical scanning resolution:How many pixels a scanner can see. Most commonly, this is measured in dots per inch (dpi). For example, a typical flatbed scanner will use a scanning head with 300 sensors per inch, so it can sample 300 dots per inch (dpi) in one direction. To scan in the other direction, it will move the scanning head along the page, stopping 300 times per inch, so it can scan 300 dpi in the other direction as well. This scanner would have an optical resolution of 300 x 300 dpi. Some manufacturers stop the scanning head more frequently as it moves down the page, so their machines have resolutions of 300 x 600 dpi or 300x1200 dpi.
